Athens International Airport “El. Venizelos”: 4.1% increase in passenger traffic in July

Cumulative Traffic – January to July

During July 2025, the airport’s passenger traffic amounted to 3.76 million, i.e. 4.1% above July 2024. Domestic and international passengers surpassed
the 2024 levels by 1.2% and 5.4%, respectively.
Overall, during the first seven months of 2025, the airport’s passenger traffic totalled 18.83 million, above the 2024 levels by 6.9%. Analytically, domestic
and international passengers surpassed the 2024 levels by 2.0% and 8.9%, respectively.

Flight Movements

The number of flights at Athens International Airport during the January–July 2025 period reached 159,665, recording a 6.2% increase compared to 2024.

Domestic flights increased by 1.3%, while international flights recorded a 9.7% rise compared to the same period in 2024.
